65% Growth in Staples Unloading in Imam Khomeini Port
Referring to the unloading of 7 million tons of staples over the last 5 months, Khuzestan's Director General of Ports and Maritime reported a 65% Growth in Staples Unloading in Imam Khomeini Port.

PMO News Portal - Adel Deris, Khuzestan Ports and Maritime Director General and Imam Khomeini Special Economic Zone Director, stated that during this period more than 8 million tons of goods have been unloaded compared to the same period last year which shows a 49% increase.

He also referred to the commitment to transporting good within the country through the sea (cabotage procedure), reporting that a 146 percent increase over the same period last year has been recorded. During this period, 80,000 tons of wheat were transported to other southern ports of the country.

Adel Deris noted the boost in exporting some items, including cement and all kinds of bulk minerals and building materials. The growth in loading of this type of goods has been in excess of 2 million tons.
